Budget activities

In the park, free activities include a chantey concert (sailor work songs, or “chants”), an arts and crafts show, a living history encampment, and food and vendor booths.

At the Baby Beach Park, there will be a Port Royal Privateer interactive encampment, gold panning and treasure hunting at the Pioneer booth, knot tying races and face painting. Pricing varies.

Every year the Ventura County Fair is a highly anticipated event. Beginning August 4th and running until the 15th. Music headliners include Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Styx, Sublime with Rome, Wilson Phillips with Caitlin Crosby, and others. Entertainment also includes motorsports on August 4 & 5 and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Rodeo on August 14 & 15. Then when you’re finished at the fair, take a walk on the white sands of Ventura Beach and enjoy the sunset.
